Este capítulo comienza mostrando a Ash en una pelea contra un montañero que usa un Rhyhorn, Ash envía a su Bulbasaur y empieza la batalla, Rhyhorn usa placaje y a arroja a Bulbasaur al suelo dejándole un gran chichón y casi debilitado, Ash trata de hacer regresar a Bulbasaur pero este se niega y sigue peleando, usando Hojas navaja para inmovilizarlo y luego látigo cepa agarra al Rhyhorn y lo derrota.
