La fuerza del ciclón ha arrastrado a Ash y a sus amigos hasta una playa desconocida. Cuando recupera la conciencia, Ash se pregunta cómo han llegado hasta ese lugar, y a continuación despierta a Misty y a Brock, quienes se preguntan lo mismo. Ash opina que han tenido suerte de haber sobrevivido al violento ataque de los Gyarados, sin embargo, cuando descubre que Pikachu no está y que además sólo tiene dos de sus Pokémon no se alegra tanto.
