Ash, Brock, Misty y Pikachu van al Centro Pokémon para que atiendan a este último, al llegar ven a la Enfermera Joy atendiendo llamadas y a un profesor, el Profesor Akihabara, muy preocupados, ya que el Sistema de almacenamiento Pokémon no funciona correctamente, se hizo la prueba cuando depositaron un Ninetales, un Pokémon raro, y al ser devuelto, aparece un Magikarp. El Profesor Akihabara se da cuenta de lo que pasa y huye, sin poder creerlo.
