En este episodio Ash y sus amigos van camino a Monte Plateado para dejar a Larvitar en su hábitat natural, durante su camino, Larvitar se despierta y sigue con su problema de timidez hacia Brock y Misty, mientras Ash lo sigue mimando. Entonces, un Ursaring aparece atacando a todos pero por suerte logran despistarlo. Luego, Larvitar encuentra una zona llena de aguas termales habitada por muchos Pokémon salvajes.
