Ash, Tracey y Misty regresan a Pueblo Paleta, seguidos por Jigglypuff. Tracey esta ansioso por conocer al Profesor Oak, pero no puede decidir que dibujo mostrarle. Cuando llegan a la casa de Ash, sorpresivamente se encuentran con su amigo Brock. Ash y Misty querían averiguar por qué estaba allí y no con la Profesora Ivy en la Isla Valencia, pero al mencionar ese nombre, Brock se deprime, a lo que Misty supone que ella lo debió rechazar.
