Ash, Misty y Brock se dirigen a Ciudad Iris, de pronto observan a un Pidgey siendo perseguido por un Fearow, Ash saca a Noctowl y este último utiliza Hipnosis en Fearow haciendo que escapara asustado. Pidgey cae en un acantilado, pero queda herido en una extensión de roca, Ash le ordena a Noctowl que bajara por el Pidgey, y este no acepta la ayuda de Noctowl, así este ultimo utiliza Hipnosis, en el Pidgey, para que creyera que está viendo a su madre (un Pidgey un poco más grande), así Noctowl sube al Pidgey y Brock le venda sus alas heridas.
