En su viaje por Johto, Ash, Misty y Brock caminan hacia las montañas, cuando ven a un Houndoom con una mochila en su lomo, lo que les parece curioso. El Equipo Rocket vuela en su globo con tranquilidad hasta que empiezan a atacar a Ash y sus amigos. El Weezing de James usa su pantallahumo y en la confusión Misty se tropieza y se le cae su Togepi y aparece frente a Weezing, pero Togepi usa su metrónomo y se teletransporta a la rama de un árbol de gran altura. Ash con la ayuda de Pikachu y Chikorita logra derrotar al Equipo Rocket.
