Ash, Misty y Brock están en un bosque y Ash al ver un buen clima se pone a jugar con sus Pokémon, en eso saca a todos y Bayleef corre hacia él y le lanza un placaje que lo lanza al suelo. En el juego decide que Noctowl lanzará una rama desde cierta altura, lo hace y los otros Pokémon saltan a capturar esa rama, Bayleef lo captura y gana. Luego vuelve a embestir a Ash y lo lanza al agua. Ash decide sacar a Bayleef del juego pero Brock y Misty le dicen que así demuestra su cariño hacia él y que todavía no controla su fuerza ya que era de reciente evolución.
