Goku continua su viaje en búsqueda de la Dragon Ball de su abuelo dirigiéndose al Oeste. El Coronel Yellow, otro miembro de la Red Ribbon, parece encontrar la Bola que busca, pero el volcán donde se encuentra hace erupción y cae en la tierra sagrada de Karin, hasta ser encontrada por unos aborígenes. Yellow entra a la tierra de Karin con sus secuaces, pero son echados por el Indio Bora, quien custodia ahora la Bola de Dragón. El coronel logra escapar en su avioneta y vuelve para secuestrar a Upa, hijo de Bora. Tras ser amenazado con enviarle a Tao Pai Pai, un temido asesino a sueldo, si no recupera la Bola, Yellow es vencido por Goku, que llega justo a tiempo para salvar al niño indio. Una vez en el suelo, Goku se percata que la Bola de Dragón que encontró Bora fue la que le dejó su abuelo. Mientras tanto, el General Blue y Tao Pai Pai llegan al Cuartel General de la Red Ribbon.
