Las preliminares del torneo de las artes Marciales continúan y en la última batalla Yajirobe pelea por ser uno de los 8 finalistas contra un señor muy tonto que por pura suerte logra derrotarlo haciendo que los 8 finalistas sean Tao Pai Pai, Krilin, Yamcha, Goku, La desconocida, Tenshinhan, Mayunia y Shen. Se realiza un sorteo para ver quien será el contrincante de cada quien y este sorteo queda así: Tao Pai Pai contra Tenshinhan en la primera pelea, Goku contra La desconocida en la segunda, Mayunia contra Krilin en la tercera y Shen contra Yamcha en la última. Entonces la primera pelea inicia.
