Pilaf escapa en su nave y es perseguido por el ejército misterioso logrando perderlos y esconderse. Goku y Chichi rescatan a Gyūmaō, Goku se despide y le promete a Chichi que algún día volverá. El coronel Silver y Goku encuentran la base de Pilaf sumergida en la arena y empiezan a atacarla, pero el chico cae en una trampa. La nave de Pilaf despega al verse acorralados, pero es atacada por muchos aviones enemigos y la derriban. Goku desparece en la explosión y Pilaf y sus secuaces, al ser vencidos, entregan la Bola de Dragón al Coronel Silver.
