Gohan se come una semilla del ermitaño recuperándose, Piccolo ataca a Tagoma pero le arranca un brazo, en ese momento aparece Gotenks y atacan a Tagoma, pero de inmediato se separan al expirar el tiempo de fusión. En ese momento, Ginyu en cuerpo de rana logra hacer el cambio con Tagoma e inicia un ataque aún más fuerte que el de Tagoma. Mientras, Gokú y Vegeta se encuentran en una dimensión similar a la de la habitación del tiempo. Gohan logra convertirse en súper saiyajin logrando contrarrestar a Ginyu, pero al verlo en ese estado, Freezer se enfurece y ataca a Gohan dejándolo en estado grave, pero antes del ataque final, Piccolo muere al intervenir en el ataque.
