Los amigos de Goku en la Tierra, han seguido adelante mientras los tres muchachos siguen la búsqueda de las esferas de dragón. Han pasado ya nueve meses y como era de esperarse, Goten sigue perdiendo el tiempo con las chicas, dejando muy poco para entrenar. Para colmo de males, el malvado Baby ha llegado a la tierra en busca de guerreros Saiyajin y se encuentra con Goten, quien está en plena cita. La pelea entre ellos da comienzo, y Baby tiene toda la intención de robarle poder a Goten, para así vencer a Goku.
